The concept of inserting ultra-fine sterile and disposable needles (hair width) into specific acupuncture points, intent then, to restore this free flow of qi and trigger the body's natural healing response, stimulates the sensory nerves located under the skin and in the muscles to produce natural substances. The release of these naturally substances encourage healing mechanisms to activate and are responsible for the beneficial effects experienced with acupuncture.
