Skincare rituals to boost your self-esteem… 

Modern living is full of challenges. From digital overload to chronic stress to feeling anxious about (well, just about everything), it’s not always easy to maintain a positive outlook on life. Not to mention our own personal issues- ‘stuff’ to work through. None of this is helped by mainstream media who like to dramatize everything. Truth be told. If you thought the nightly news was a true reflection on our society, you might never leave the house!  

With the theme of this year’s Mental Awareness Week focused on ‘body image’, here at ila, we have much to share on the topic. Afterall, our core mission, our ‘raison d’etre’, is to create products that remedy our modern lives.

Our ethos is that mental and emotional wellbeing is now just as important as our exercise routine. There’s no point having a yoga toned body if our mind and emotions are all over the place. We’ve all got issues. Loads of them. Staying strong mentally has to be a daily discipline. Which is why self-care rituals are so essential to modern living. Time out for self-care creates more self-awareness that creates more feelings of gratitude that in turn helps to improve the way we perceive ourselves. It’s all interconnected.  

Here are our ilapothecary-inspired organic self-care rituals to honor our body for this year’s mental awareness week.
